History

From One Small Shop to a NATIONWIDE Leader

Since the beginning in 1949 as a single auto glass shop in Minneapolis, Harmon AutoGlass grew into a nationwide leader in automotive glass repair and replacement.

In January, 2004 Harmon AutoGlass was purchased by The Dwyer Group, headquartered in Waco, Texas.

Harmon AutoGlass Family

The Harmon AutoGlass family includes Service Centers operating under names that have been familiar in their communities for years, including Portland Glass.

Portland Glass became a member of the Harmon AutoGlass family in 1997. At its locations throughout New England, Portland Glass offers not only auto glass services, but also property glass repair and replacement for home and business. You can visit Portland Glass Service Centers in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. For a complete list of services, visit www.portlandglass.com.

In January 2004, Harmon AutoGlass integrated its operations with The Dwyer Group, becoming a part of its nationwide franchise organization. The combined company represents the country's largest chain of company-aligned retail stores for auto and property glass, and the only national glass retailer that provides commercial, residential, and auto glass services.

Now customers needing all kinds of glass can enjoy a full menu of replacement and repair services from locally owned shops-businesses that belong to a larger company they already know and trust.
